Member Benefits

We offer many benefits to those within the trucking industry as well as those who support the industry, through offered products and services.

 

One of the primary purposes of WTA is to make sure that your voice is heard at the State Capitol and in Washington, and the best way to do that is as a group within the industry. We have a dedicated lobbyist who maintains contact with state and federal administrative agencies as well as the Wyoming Congressional Delegation. Through the support of our members, our lobbyist has been able to greatly impact beneficial legislation to the industry, as well as stand against legislation that would have been quite detrimental. We are actively involved at the grassroots level and keep our members briefed as to what is happening within our industry. 

 

The WTA also has a Safety Council that holds different seminars and trainings throughout the year at a discounted price for members. In a study that was conducted by the American Transportation Research Institute (ATRI), motor carriers active in a state and national membership association are safer than both former association members and carriers who have never been association members. 

 

A sense of community is another benefit you would receive as a member of the WTA. Through our annual convention, you will be able to meet and exchange ideas with other members, business spokespersons, the WTA staff and leadership as well as government officials. 

 

Members of the WTA receive a 50% discount on supplies purchased, such as annual inspection reports, labels, logbooks, etc. that we offer. This comes in handy when you need to purchase multiple of a requested item.
